Base Camp has been developed specifically for gifted and high-ability primary school students who need to understand and introduce study skills so positive habits can be establish while still in primary school.

Using the concept of Base Camp, where mountaineers prepare for the academic journey that lies ahead, this seminar assists students to prepare themselves; to undertake the training they will need to be intellectually, personally and academically equipped to tackle future challenges.

Michele Juratowitch, author of Study: The Simple Facts, developed and delivers the Base Camp Study Skills Seminar for students in Years 4 – 6. Michele has experience providing study skills programs for high-ability primary school students through seminars, in schools, at university, through organisations and within her counselling practice.
